Delhi is the city to be in this season – it’s where all the culinary action is! With leading food festivals back and revamped this February, they promise to be bigger & better than ever before. With a fork in one hand and knife in the other, we are ready and set to conquer the (food) world.
Asian Hawkers Market
Our beloved Asian Hawkers Market is back and after introducing blockbusters like Pa Pa Ya & Jom Jom Malay to the capital city last year, you should gear up for even bigger chows this time around. All set for the fourth edition, co-founder Sourish Bhattacharyya shares “AHM will have a record number of new partner restaurants & food service providers this season – 14 in all, from Ziu offering progressive Thai Cuisine to Social laying out its Singapur’ menu, to Lite Bite Foods unveiling Delhi-NCR’s newest Korean restaurant- Hahn’s Kitchen, to gourmet fresh fruit juices & desserts from The Fruit Boutique.”
Celebrating the hawker style food so widely available in Asia, AHM is pulling out all stops this year, “The action will start on February 8, when Delhi-NCR’s most talented mixologists will shake quite a storm at the first-ever Asian Cocktails Challenge to be held in the national capital. The scene of this action will be Prankster, where the contending mixologists will showcase their talents in front of a panel of renowned judges” he says. If that isn’t enough the fest will see a sensational new microbrewery and a flea market. Nibbles, tipples & shopping, AHM seems to have cracked the code for our favourite avocations.

The Gourmet High Street
The Gourmet High Street brings together some of the biggest names in the industry for a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious weekend for all food enthusiasts. Providing an opportunity to meet & greet with celebrity chefs, mixologists and sommeliers, we love The Gourmet High Street for all its indulgent experiences. Some of their key features this year include the Cooking Studio for you to cook alongside celebrity chefs like Sanjeev Kapoor & the Sipping Turf where you can find us downing a tipple (or ten).
Head to CyberHub, Gurgaon between 10-12th February from 11am-11pm.
Palate Fest Reimagined
Reimagined, the Palate Fest is stepping up to a whole new level this season. The city’s most extravagant food festival aims to amuse Delhiites with not just food but also art this year. In a candid conversation with organisers Ruchi Sibal & Aditi Kapoor we discover what will set this edition apart. “This year will mark the inception of IMAGINE Fest which will run alongside the existing Palate Fest to create an illuminating & informative weekend for everyone covering different genres including literature, fashion, and art. It will be the perfect setting to bring together audiences and speakers from around the world, giving everyone a chance to be inspired by speakers that will open up a world of opportunities for them! We are looking forward to seeing the kind of response we get for this new concept” they share.
You can experience the finest restaurants displaying the best of their food at Palate & if the past editions are any evidence, you will soon be drowning in food all around. But wait, there’s more! “To create a more engaging & interactive event this year, there are new additions like Treasure Hunt, an elaborate market zone, two stages for live entertainment, art installations & more (which you will know when you visit)” the co-founders share.
Head to Nehru Park between 10th-12th February.
Delhi Cocktail Week
We love ourselves some tipples and when the city’s most beloved mixologists come together to celebrate a bevvy week, we ought to partake. Delhi Cocktail Week is showcasing the science behind our favourite spirits, by masterclasses from bartenders around town. So, whether you like an old fashioned, lager or martini, Delhi Cocktail Week is here to cater to your need. Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed we can’t wait for the Global Bar Pop-Up; guest bartenders like Boris, music performances from Midival Punditz & open house for dogs, this is going to be a hoot.
Attend this festival between 4-11th February.
February is truly going to be all beer & skittles, so see you at the fests?
