Few things in life can’t be solved with a good pastry and a strong, fragrant cup of coffee. Existential dread? Cappuccino and croissant. Breakup? Nothing soothes you like a decadent Tiramisu. Hectic day at work ahead? You’re all fueled up by a hot Americano and maybe a flaky Danish. Whatever it is, one thing’s clear: bakeries are the new agony aunts, and baked goods are the therapy that may be more affordable than going all Carrie Bradshaw at retail stores.
With a surge in the popularity of coffee culture, several new bakeries and patisseries have opened their doors to invite us in with the freshly baked smell of bread, coffee, and desserts. We’ve taken a round to sniff out the freshest, layered, and sumptuously buttery newcomers in the bakery scene. Whether you’re chasing the perfect crust or just want something cute for your feed, these new spots are worth getting crumbs in your car for.
Bring your stretchy pants. You’re going to need them.
