Our Instagram is filled with reels of Japan, where people are slurping piping hot bowls of ramen, or indulging in authentic sushi while appreciating the country’s minimalist culture. While we haven’t fulfilled our wanderlust yet, our food cravings are always met at Guppy!
Located in Delhi’s Lodhi Colony, Guppy – part of AD Singh’s Olive Group of Restaurants – has been serving authentic Japanese cuisine for 11 years! Besides being a pioneer in Japanese cuisine in India, Guppy is also known to be the first to introduce a lot of things to the country’s F&B landscape – from India’s first Poke bar, Batera Sushi (the oldest form of pressed sushi), the Ramen Burger food trend, black rice sushi, and much more.
They are celebrating their 11th birthday with celebrations all month, along with a new menu!
Head Chef Saurabh Sharan curates the birthday menu for this month and has a selection of light, fresh, and flavourful dishes for a perfect dining experience. Start with an Exotic Fruit & Greens Salad (plum, pear, and seasonal fruits, cured in pickling liquor; served with soy-dressed lettuce), or a Chilli Brie Tempura (Mild chilli and brie cheese tempura; served with gochujang mayo and kale chips), followed by Sushi Rolls and Enoki Mushroom Tempura. For the ones who prefer non-vegetarian, don’t miss out on their Crispy Scallop & Spicy Cod Roe (Crab meat, scallops, mentaiko cod roe, miso mustard, and sweet potato crisps), Miso Chicken Stew, or the Grilled Fish in Goma Lemon. They have mouthwatering ramen for vegetarians and meat lovers with options such as Vegetable Garlic, or Kimchi Pork Ramen.
Pair these dishes with their all-new dessert cocktails by Nishant K Gaurav. This is a twist on traditional sweets and desserts paired with complex flavours of cocktails. Choose from Lovely Kisses (featuring vodka, chocolate syrup, coffee liqueur, and fresh orange), the sweet Berry Berry Rosy (which combines rosé tequila, strawberry cheesecake ice cream, and basil), or the Oh So Vanilla drink which mixes dark rum, vanilla ice cream, hazelnut, butterscotch, and espresso).
Marking their 11-year milestone, Guppy is hosting several fun events and experiences for its diners. Besides a curated new menu for food and drinks, Guppy’s 11th birthday will have something for everyone!
