From the Pantry:
2 whole coconuts
50 grams garlic
3 green chillies
½ kilogram tomato
½ kilogram onions
350 grams sprouted moth
100 grams cooking oil
100 grams coriander leaves
2 chopped onions, for serving
6 buns
200 grams navratan mixture
Cook Away:
Grate coconut and soak in 2 liters of water for a few hours. Churn in a blender and sieve to take out the milk.
Repeat the process for the second coconut.
Grind the garlic and green chillies together. Now chop the onion and tomatoes finely.
Steam sprouts until half cooked. In a pan, pour the oil, saute onions till translucent and add the garlic chilli paste.
Saute for 5 minutes.
Once the aroma of raw garlic goes away, add the cooked sprouts and cook for 10 minutes.
Add the coconut milk and keep stirring continuously. Once cooked, add salt as per taste and bring to a boil.
Cook for 10 minutes on a medium flame and then take off the stove.
Pour the misal into a bowl, sprinkle the chopped onions, coriander, and the navratan mixture. Eat with bun.
