#DSSCRecommends is back with an ace line-up you can’t miss this weekend. In the spirit of experimentation, we’ll be investigating some bebop this Friday and spending Saturday night amping up with electronic jazz at The Piano Man. If that ain’t enough to get you grooving, Sunday is reserved for jazz with a stellar trio hailing from France and if you are clef-er, you’ll be joining us.
The Karan Khosla Trio
If you know us, you know Jazz by The Park is is a constant on our calendars and this week we’ll be heading back for The Karan Khosla Trio. Karan Khosla, long time protégé of jazz guitar icon – Matthew Warnock will be taking the guitar and Ekaterina Aristova will be on upright bass, while Aditya Dutta takes on the drums. They’ll be performing the upbeat sup-genre bebop or bop, which dominated jazz for over 60 years and we’re looking forward to a smashing night showcasing the innovative art to #OurCity.

Big Bang Blues
Presenting an uber special sesh of electric blues, Big Bang Blues will be taking the stage this Saturday for a night of iconic songs from the past. From Stevie Ray Vaughan’s power-packed Texas blues to Muddy Waters iconic-blues, they’ll be strumming classics all night and we’ll be tapping our foot alongside. With Diyatom Deb on vocals, Lanu Yaden on guitar, Barun Sinha on bass, Yashi Vikram on harmonica & keys, Sushant Thakur on electric guitar & slide and Akhil Kumar on drums, it’s set to be an electric night. Having performed over 100 shows, not just in India’s metropolitans but also in international cities like Macau, BBB has received notable recognition and is heading to light up The Piano Man this weekend.

EYM Trio
Hailing from France, EYM Trio is on their second tour to India and will have the capital city grooving to their tunes this Sunday. Elie Dufour on piano, Marc Michel on drums, and Yann Phayphet on double bass, the trio is armed with covers, their original compositions, and ethnic-influenced sounds to woo the city once again. Drawing inspiration from their first tour, they wrote a song Bengaluru, however Delhi holds just as must allure and they’ll be taking the stage at Depot 48 this Saturday.
