Jazz, Bollywood, Blues, there is a wide array for you to choose and we assure this weekend will be a consistent high note.
Bollyjazz
Jazz with a twist of Bollywood, if that doesn’t get you hooked, we don’t know what will! The marriage of classic Bollywood film tunes with jazz rhythms and harmony resulted in the birth of Bollyjazz by DSSC’s ace members Nik & Nat. Taking them indie vocal symphonies on a power packed tour with R’n’B & Jazz, the combination creates a buzz that will get you grooving. Pranai Gurung, Harshit Misra, and Nikhil Vasudevan, will be taking the stage alongside Nik & Nat this Friday and Depot 48 is set to be banging with blues and tunes with a tint of movie matinee.

Friday, 12th May at 9pm: Depot 48 (Level 2, N – 3, N – Block Market, G.K. I, New Delhi)
Rainer Pusch Trio
Ring in the weekend with a live performance by Rainer Pusch Trio this week. A music veteran, Rainer Pusch has taken the stage across the world, learning, performing, and teaching in cities like Boston, Beijing, and now Delhi. A saxophonist, composer, and arranger, Pusch has worked with names like A.R. Rahman, Ranjit Barot, and Horace Parlan in the past. Tuning in the saxophone for the night, he’ll be performing at Jazz By The Park this Friday and it’s not something you’d wanna miss! We’ll be there tapping our foot to them tunes, what about you?

Timewise
Founded in 2015, Timewise is an experimental jazz band from Ahmedabad intent on revolutionising the music scene of their city. Taking over Delhi for the week, they’ll be playing around with jazz, blues, and fusion to get #OurCity grooving to their mellow tunes and crisp rhythms. Seven musicians banded together by their love for raw, uncut music, their compositions are a result of random inspirations. Their tunes never fall flat and shouldn’t be missed even for a minuet, so be smart and measure up for the major & minor jams (If you got all that, we bow our hats to your clef-erness)!
The When & Where:
Friday, 12th May at 9pm: The Piano Man Jazz Club (B 6-7/22 Safdarjung Enclave Market, Delhi)
Saturday, 13th May at 9pm: Depot 48 (Level 2, N – 3, N – Block Market, G.K. I, New Delhi)
The Rohan Ganguli Quartet
Embracing the new possibilities while sticking to the roots, The Rohan Ganguli Quartet performs unique combinations merging traditional forms and new soundscapes. Funky jazz, rock ’n’ roll, hindustani classical, they perform to their will. Performing blues with their own perspective at Depot 48 they will be partnering up with Tanya Sen. The night at Speakeasy is a free fall, for their repertoire might include fusion buttered with pop or hip-hop, but it’s the mystery that has us intrigued and we’re all for surprises.
