There is a certain magic in a restaurant that can stand the test of time for two decades. In an industry often obsessed with the “new and next,” Olive Beach has remained a steadfast landmark in Bengaluru’s dining scene since it first opened its doors in 2005. This year, the Mediterranean stalwart isn’t just looking back at its legacy; it is ushering in a bold new era with a refreshed menu that feels like a warm, sun-drenched invitation to both old friends and new explorers.
Housed in a charming heritage villa, Olive Beach has always been more than just a place to eat. It is a space where rustic elegance meets contemporary style, known for its sun-dappled courtyard lunches and romantic dinners under the stars. As A.D. Singh, Founder & MD of the Olive Group, notes, this milestone is a heartfelt celebration of the journey shared with the city. The new menu is designed to reflect that very heart, a collection of beloved classics and curious new creations crafted with genuine joy.

Designed by Chef Jyotika Malik and Chef Nitin Choudhery, the new culinary direction is rooted in Mediterranean flavours focusing on seasonal freshness and refined technique, but with a playful, modern twist.
The expanded selection truly offers something for every palate, beginning with vibrant new salad additions like the Beetroot and Berries Chevre and the Pear and Field Greens. For small plates, you can dive into a Gruyere Cheese Souffle, Smoked Salmon Rillette, or Butter Poached Scallops, while those seeking comfort will find the hand-rolled Chèvre and Beets Cappelletti to be a total standout. The signature clay roast section–a long-standing hallmark of the Olive experience–now features the Vadouvan Spiced Espetada. To end your meal on a high note, the kitchen has introduced indulgent “sweet finales” like the Earl Grey & Orange Mille Feuille and a decadent Date and Stout Sticky Pudding.
“This menu is warm, comforting, and rooted in Mediterranean soul, yet curious, modern, and ready to surprise,” says Chef Jyotika Malik.

The beverage program, curated by 2022’s Mixologist of the Year, Harish Chhimwal, continues the theme of elevated creativity. The cocktails are designed to be as much of a conversation starter as the food.
For those who enjoy a crisp, botanical profile, the Basil Breeze offers a twist on the Gin Basil Smash with hints of absinthe and cucumber. If you prefer something floral, the Jasmine Romance blends jasmine-infused gin with fresh citrus.
The bar program also explores “spirit-forward” territory with the Rye and Shine (apple brandy, rye, and Jägermeister) and offers velvety, complex textures in drinks like the Tea and Tempest, which uses a milk-clarification process for a silky finish.
Whether you are returning for a “signature” favourite or looking to discover a new go-to dish, Olive Beach remains a sanctuary of hospitality in the heart of the city.
