Paul John Indian Single Malt introduces the 7th edition of its exclusive Christmas Edition Series. “The Paul John Christmas Edition is a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship, and each year it brings a unique twist,” says Heemanshu Asher, Global Brand Ambassador and Brand Head – Paul John Whisky.
This limited-edition festive spirit finds its roots in the tropical shores of Goa. It comes in a deep, golden hue, with exotic aromas of ripe mango and pineapple, complemented by notes of vanilla cake and a subtle touch of sandalwood. Each edition has unique flavour profiles and highlights a carefully selected cask for maturation. The 7th edition features a vatting of single malt from an ex-bourbon cask, finished in a Caribbean rum cask with another ex-bourbon cask finished in virgin oak. The flavour notes are meticulously curated to evoke the warmth of festive spirits this holiday season. “Our aim,” says Asher, “was to create a whisky that resonates with the nostalgia of Christmas, making it a perfect addition to the festive celebrations that gets amplified with the presentation in packaging.”
Priced at approximately ₹7,500, the Paul John Christmas Edition will be available during the festive season until stocks last, in Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Haryana. It will also be available internationally in the USA, Canada, Bulgaria, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, the UK, Ukraine, and France.
The launch of this limited-edition Christmas series also coincides with the Phase II expansion of their distillery in Goa. “With this development, we have doubled our production capacity to over three million litres annually,” shares Asher. “This includes the addition of new pot stills, increased warehouse storage for maturing casks, and enhanced bottling capabilities. The expansion aligns with our vision to meet growing global demand while maintaining the highest quality standards.” Asher also shares that they will be extending their Select Cask range with Port and Madeira Cask finish to explore more innovations. Beyond Paul John Single Malt, they have a diversified portfolio with offerings like Malhar Gin and Paul John XO Brands. Now, they plan on experimenting with innovative whisky expressions including cask finishes using rare barrels of the Antique Collection from Buffalo Trace Distillery.
With warm spices interwoven with coconut, candied orange, and hints of toasted oak, this limited edition is Christmas in a glass! “I prefer savoring the Christmas Edition neat to appreciate its intricate layers of flavour with a little time in a tasting glass and coax out more layers with a few drops of water.
