Nuts about nuts? How about if you could take a dip in it? Okay, not literally, but your nibbles sure can! This spicy peanut dip has powered up many a brainstorming sessions at the DSSC HQ. From crudités, to prawns, to momos, the dip serves one and all. Here’s your recipe to spicing up your platters from now till eternity.
Prep Time: 10 minutes + 30 mins to chill
Caters To: Makes 1 ½ cups
Challenge Level: Beginner
From the Pantry:
¾ cup creamy peanut butter
¼ cup apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
¼ cup water
⅓ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
1 ½ teaspoons grated fresh ginger
1 medium clove of garlic, chopped
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon lime juice
Chopped roasted peanuts and chopped cilantro for garnish
Let’s Get To It:
In a bowl whisk together all the ingredients until well blended. If the peanut butter is thick, add a little more water to thin out the mixture.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Before serving, whisk it again and transfer to a serving bowl. Top with chopped peanuts and cilantro.
DSSC Top Tip: You can warm the dip and mix it with noodles or pasta too.
