Piping hot tea is an eternal do-gooder. Add to that a little tipple and make that smile wider!
Prep Time: 35 minutes
Caters to: 2 gobblers
Challenge Level: Beginner level
From The Pantry:
2 cups water
1 cinnamon stick
3 cloves, whole
1 chamomile tea bag
1 ginger tea bag
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup whisky
Cook Away:
Pour water in a small saucepan and add cinnamon sticks along with cloves before turning the heat to medium-high. Cover with a lid and bring to boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and allow it to simmer for 20 minutes for the flavours to diffuse.
Remove from heat and strain the water. Place the chamomile and ginger tea bags in the saucepan. Let it steep for 10 minutes with lid on.
Remove the tea bags and add honey, lemon and whiskey. Turn the heat on medium-low and stir till honey dissolves completely and it reaches the desired temperature.
