In the heart of Panjim, a new space has emerged that feels more of a destination than an invitation to Goa’s newest restaurant. L’Oro, which is Italian for ‘golden’, lives up to its name with a warmth that promises to change every visit into something entirely different. It offers the full arc from noon to night in a single space where guests arrive for an afternoon spritz and leave hours later, upstairs, with a cigar and a glass of aged Amaro.
What we love the most about the space is that the hospitality is instinctive. Whether you’re seeking a quiet corner to work with a perfect matcha, a vibrant sundowner with friends, or an intimate dinner that stretches long into the night, L’Oro adapts seamlessly to the rhythm of your day. Open from noon to midnight, it stands as Panjim’s rare all-day sanctuary, close to the market, art spaces, and Miramar Beach.

When it comes to the food, it is rooted in simplicity. The menu is a blend of Mediterranean, Italian, and coastal Mangalorean food, a rare combination of food that’s equal parts refreshing, and curiosity building.
We suggest you start with the Mediterranean crudos that are fresh, light, and taste of the sea. Other standouts were the Linguini Limone, also dubbed as the space’s hero pasta dish, which is bright, lemony, and feels like summer on a plate. The Borek, Spanakopita, and Arayes are small, shareable plates with Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean roots.
The Prawn Pil Pil, is another standout dish that is every bit indulgent with bold Goan-Mangalorean flavours to it. The hand-torn breads here are designed to share with either the folks you come with, or the pals you meet there! Lastly, we must also call out the Limoncello Soft Serve that needs no introduction other than being absolutely delectable, especially on a humid Goan afternoon.

The space spans across three floors, and is a testimony to the Mediterranean way of life. Each floor offers its own experience. The ground floor is a cocktail-first bar that is lively, accessible, and super energetic. Come here to grab a drink while you work, the music is gentle during the day, gradually becoming vibrant as the day progresses.
The first floor transforms into a warm, sunlit Mediterranean dining room with floor-to-glass windows that create a relaxed, elegant atmosphere. A stunning long chandelier adds quiet drama to the room, while the pet-friendly policy makes it even more welcoming!
The third floor, the upper lounge, is a speakeasy-inspired liqueur and cigar lounge offering the only curated liqueur flight and cigar pairing experience in central Goa. Here, the mood deepens with single malts, port wines, aged Amaros, and premium cigar pairings. Music mellows as the night progresses, creating the perfect backdrop for unhurried conversations.

What makes L’Oro special is its rare ability to be many things at once, especially in a city full of venues that chase trends, L’Oro offers something deeper: an authentic, multi-layered experience built around the simple joy of slowing down.
What also hits the nail on the head is the seamless blend of Italian warmth and Goan ease that creates an upscale, yet completely unintimidating environment. The evolving music, thoughtful loyalty programme, and regular live gigs by local artists on Wednesdays and Thursdays add rich layers of community and culture. They also host exclusive L’Oro’s community experiences on the 2nd and 4th Sundays every month with activities like glass painting, decoupage, flower arranging, wine tastings, and painting sessions taking place, creating a space for folks to connect, learn something new, all while enjoying great food and drinks.
